  • Coolalinga is located 24km south east of the Darwin CBD and 8km south east of Palmerston. The centre is being developed on a site located on the eastern side of the Stuart Highway.
  • The successful trading performance of the Centre (both majors and specialties) will benefit from sales generated by customers particularly from the regional, rural and more remote rural areas to the south of Coolalinga. Coolalinga Central will become the principal retail destination for food, discretionary spend, retail service and a wide range of possible commercial purposes.
  • The total trade area population of 58,380 people (2016 est) is forecast to experience very strong growth, to approximately 76,660 over the forecast period to 2026 – representing a significant upli¡ of some 31%.
  • The majority of this population growth is forecast to occur in the new residential growth suburbs of; Zuccoli, Mitchell and the outlying rural areas. For new residents, Coolalinga will be the most convenient and accessible shopping centre in the new growth area.
  • The total trade area retail spend, currently estimated at $917m ($2015), is projected to rise to over $1 billion by 2018 (the centre’s 1st full trading year) and up to $1.4 billion by 2026, representing total spending growth at over $500m. With average growth of circa 4% pa Coolalinga Central will benefit from a market experiencing one of the highest retail growth rates anywhere in Australia.
